Advantages of a Funeral Plan

Many people wish to provide for their funeral expenses, and a pre-paid Funeral Plan is a caring, sensible and cost-effective way to do so.

More than 750,000 people in Great Britain have planned their own funeral and as independent funeral directors we take particular pride in offering the
Hawes Funeral Plan.

The advantage of a funeral plan over a savings account or life insurance policy is that you can pay now, at today's price, and beat inflation - no matter when the service might be required.

The many advantages include:

  • You can choose a funeral plan in accordance to your own wishes
  • You will save your family from having to make difficult decisions, and trying to guess what you would have wanted, at such a distressing time
  • You can choose one of our popular options with fixed prices, or personalise your plan with every detail exactly as you want it and avoid rising funeral costs with an inflation-proof guarantee
  • For financial security, all funeral payments are held in Funeral Planning Trust with Capita Trust Co Ltd as custodian trustee, until required
  • Registered with the Funeral Planning Authority, the trust is monitored by independent auditors in compliance with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000
  • There is no age limit and there are no awkward health questions
  • You can pay the current price within three months or pay by monthly instalments over a number of years -
    whichever suits you
  • Our money-back promise: if you change your mind, at any time, you can have a full refund - no fuss!
  • All enquiries and arrangements are treated in confidence
