BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

As part of our aftercare service, we offer a monthly Bereavement Aftercare & Support Group, which has been set up to provide a FREE support service, not just to our clients, but to ANY bereaved person, irrespective of their age, creed, religion and length of bereavement.

The drop-in group does not provide counselling but merely a venue where the bereaved can meet over a cup of tea, coffee and biscuit, and talk to others who are in a similar situation, and who know exactly what you are going through.

We understand that attending a group for the first time can be daunting, however, you will be welcomed by a team of Volunteers who are merely there to listen and offer their support. Sometimes it helps just to talk to someone, and sometimes it helps just to know that there is support available locally.

The group meets every 4th Thursday of the month at Trinity Hall, (Holy Trinity Church), Mossford Green, Barkingside, Essex, IG6 2BX, 1:45pm to 3:15pm.

If you would like to download our information leaflet, Coping with Bereavement? - Grieving the loss of a Loved One?, which includes the group meeting dates for 2009, click here.

We also support The Healing Hearts Bereavement Support Group, based in East London and Essex, which was started in 2000 and aims to provide bereaved people with caring and support to enable successful grieving to occur.
